christmas tree, my christmas tree....

i put my tree up this weekend, yes, a little early i know, but i have to put it up so the cats can get used to it. i shaped it up all pretty and they did so good. only trying to eat it a little bit. well, i come home yesterday, and the tree looks mighty funny. the branches are all pushed down, it's certainly no longer shaped. so while i'm trying to shape it back up, i look down, and strat has climbed the artificial tree. i didn't even know there was enough to grip to climb an artificial tree. especially on this tree, it's really slim and only 7 ft. it's a wonder he didn't knocked it down. if i wouldn't have been so mad, i would have thought to get a picture. can't wait to see what happens with the lights and ornaments.

ok, it's been a while, but i have to do something to get my mind off the fire alarm system they are testing here at work. oh, it just stopped... thank goodness. a splitting headache and fire alarms don't go too well together....

so i need to talk about survivor last night. it was really good. at first, i could not stand russell, but he has become one of my favorite players. that guy is playing the game and playing hard. i hope he finds the immunity idol for the third time without any clues. those guys left off galou, except shambo, really rub me the wrong way.

david and i are going to bham this afternoon to try to get some christmas shopping done. we have one christmast on thanksgiving, so that makes me get an early start. i say i will every year, and every year i'm trying to find gifts on christmas eve.

what is wrong with me....

i just got asked how old i was, and i aged myself a year. i mean 27 is bad enough, but i'm thinking i'm 28? what the heck? of course that came out of a conversation on when i was going to have children. oh well, i got avon and good genes in the aging department on my side, so maybe my plan not to age past 29 will work. (jill, if you read this, i know you're thinking, i'm already 28 you nerd! haha)

taking what they're giving....

so i finally got to see one of my favorite bands since i was 5 years old this past saturday... huey lewis and the news!!! yay! they were at the beau rivage in biloxi, and they put on a great show. we were in the front row, i mean, front row! leaning on the barricade. it was awesome. huey looked right at me and smiled. and i got a hand touch... haha. i think bill, the drummer for all you non-fans, looked at me too. i'm such a dork, i know, but it was great. wish i would have broken the rules like half the ppl there and took a camera. i would definitely say to anyone, go see them in concert!!

i got that article off a tweet from peta. it's very interesting. most who know me know i'm a vegetarian. i don't shove it on other people, but occasionally i feel the need to encourage ppl to give it a try.

finally friday...

for this to be a short week, it sure has felt long. i've been so tired this week. i think it's just my allergies acting crazy, but all i've done is lay around and sleep. the house is a mess, so i better get off my tush and get it cleaned up today.

finney looks much better thanks to the salt treatment. her fins have grown back so much in only about 2 weeks time. that makes me happy. david thinks i'm a little off my rocker for worrying about a fish so much, but they're such pleasant little creatures.
