i'm excited to see that today. it'll be good. they had a poster up for it last year at disney world... awww.... i was only 2 weeks away from disney world this time last year.

i found a female doc and got right in with her. it just amazes me that it's almost impossible to get established with a doctor these days. i went through the same thing last year.

doctor, doctor....

well, mark one doc i've called off the list. she won't accept me. oh well, at least they were nice about it. i might have to bite the bullet and go to a male doctor. as much as i don't want to. sorry guys, i just really prefer female doctors. oh, wait, i do have a male dentist and a male eye doc. i sure hope the other female doc in that practice will accept me. i shouldn't complain. at least i have insurance and can go to the doc when i need to. i'm thankful for that.

ugh, i hate it when songs get stuck in my head.

i also hate being back from vacation. work stunk today. it must be because i haven't been there in a while. i shouldn't complain, at least i have work.

i tried to make a doctor's appt today but was told my doc was booked up til october. OCTOBER! what the heck!? needless to say, i'm searching for another tomorrow. probably with no luck, since nobody accepts new patients anymore. i see why clinics are popping up all over the place. it's the only way you can see a doc anymore. kinda sad.

brooke just gave me a new addiction. emerald nuts trail mix breakfast blend... so good. a good 3:30 pick me up. especially considering i'll have to eat junk for dinner since we'll be on the way to the beach. yay!

jim jam loves summer....

jim jam's friend, mr. lizard, mad his first appearance of the summer yesterday. jim jam was very excited to see him. we have a whole family of lizards that live behind the shutters. here he is looking at him.
too bad i don't have a sound clip of him talking to the birds. that would easily win us $10,000, especially the time he was quacking.

pretty flowers

my flowers beds are looking pretty good, thanks to all the rain we've had. i cheated this year and bought plants, with the exception of old faithful, my black-eyed susan vine that comes back every year, and my marigolds in pots. i usually grow everything from seed. it gives me such a sense of accomplishment. i need to weed them today and get some more mulch. from my few years gardening experience, i can definitely say, the almanac knows what it's talking about. by the way, today and tomorrow are good days to week. friday is a good day to plant, so i'll put the other two petunias in the ground then.

gaining plumpness...

apparently i've gained enough weight for our janitor to point it out to me today. i was already feeling cruddy about it when i got on the scale this morning. me and the elliptical have a date after work. not that i'm fat, by no means, but it never feels good to have your weight gain pointed out to you. ugh.

on to more happy topics... it's only 2:30 and i've already finished everything i needed to get done today. i'd rather be busy and have the day pass quickly. at least it's tuesday, so ai and fringe. i definitely don't have an interest in who wins this year. i like danny best, but i know adam will win. fringe, on the other hand, is my addiction. i hate this is the season finale. at least it got picked up for another one. i love that show. so good.

new blog...

i started a new blog. i kinda got worn out on myspace and rarely get on it anymore. but i miss my blog. so here's we go... what have i been up to lately... no much. really, i'm never up to anything. i'm very much in a routine. but that is a rather good thing right now. at least i have a job, and david is going to stay in school another year so student loans won't kick in. i dread that. unfortunately, the arts are always the first to suffer, and pretty much no jobs opened up this year. that's ok, cause we'll get where we're supposed to be, when we're supposed to be there.

on a lighter note, my arms look like a i have a flesh eating disease. i got major sunburn, seriously like second degree burns, at jazz fest two weeks ago, and my arms are peeling horribly. me and my irish skin don't get along with monsieur soleil that well. so that's my update for my first post in my new blog... shudder in the profoundness of it all... hehe
