my flowers beds are looking pretty good, thanks to all the rain we've had. i cheated this year and bought plants, with the exception of old faithful, my black-eyed susan vine that comes back every year, and my marigolds in pots. i usually grow everything from seed. it gives me such a sense of accomplishment. i need to weed them today and get some more mulch. from my few years gardening experience, i can definitely say, the almanac knows what it's talking about. by the way, today and tomorrow are good days to week. friday is a good day to plant, so i'll put the other two petunias in the ground then.
