frugality, gotta love it....

i love a good bargain. my mama laughs at me for my coupons. she hasn't seen my new coupon binder yet, but i'm sure it'll give her a good chuckle. so grocery store circulars come out today. i skimmed all of them for good deals and boy, did i get one. david's really particular about right guard deoderant. i'm sure he loves me sharing that on my blog. but he just likes it. he says "it works". and heaven forbid he have a deoderant that "doesn't work". so publix has right guard buy one get one free, so $4 for two. i had a coupon for $3 off two, and then there was a .55 off coupon on the packaging. so i paid .80 for two right guard deoderants. yay! i love a good deal!

my life is a misery.... name that musical! haha!

my poor laptop is in bad shape. i think i'm going to have to bite the bullet and call our computer guys we use at work to fix it for me. genius me thought i could solve it all with a system restore, but vista apparently, doesn't seem to agree with that for a lot of ppl. i can't even order a recovery disk off hp cause their site is screwy! ugh! at least i don't think i lost anything. it has another hard drive, so hopefully i backed everything up right. i just dread having to pay to get it fixed cause i know it'll be a small fortune :( .

work in progress....

i'm trying to redo my blog some. it's coming along. my laptop is totally messed up so i've only been able to work on here when i've got some free time at work. hopefully, i can get my laptop back up and running this afternoon. weirdest thing, runs fine all day wednesday, just it's usual quirks, then thursday, it decides to go all possessed on me. ugh.

i've also never done any labels, so i think i'll start doing those. uh oh, i hear the preschoolers heading to the sanctuary to practice for graduation. gotta go watch!!

monday, monday....

can't trust that day... definitely been a blue monday today. i have absolutely no reason to feel that way, i just do. sometimes i just wish i could make my mind shut up with the constant racing. i guess we all have days like this.

it's been rainy and dreary here today. it's gloomy, but at least all my plants got watered pretty good. i have blooms on my zuchinis. yay! no blooms yet on my topsy turvey tomato plants, but they're growing fast. i should take a picture of my "garden". i say "garden" cause it's a patch of ground i dug up on the back of our patio. it's pitiful looking, but it seems to be getting the job done. i've been spoiled all my life with fresh vegetables every summer. i used to get paid to string up the beans and tomato plants. i hated the smell of tomatos on my hands, now i love it. i can't wait to have a house so i can have a real garden. i get such pleasure from seeing something grow from seed. it gives me peace. hmmm... this post took a totally different turn. maybe i'll get out in my "garden" this evening and transplant my peppers. almanac says it's a good day to transplant!

mixtape time!!!

i held out on you last week, so i made a really good one this week. i'm gonna take you back...all the way back to.... 1994, the start of junior high. the beginning of my awkward grunge stage. before green day got political. before weezer was singing about beverly hills. some of the best times ever. as i made this, i remembered so many good songs. i know i forgot a bunch, so this might have to be an installment with a 1995 and 1996 editions also. there's a couple songs that were 93 and 95, but i had to include them. enjoy!
